Olympus Digital SLR
One of the new digital SLR cameras is the Olympus E-420. It is considered to be the world’s smallest SLR camera. It is small enough to fit a purse or a jacket pocket and is comfortably portable to bring along all day. However, do not be deceived by its size because this Olympus digital SLR includes a bagful of features including an Onscreen Autofocus with Live View, Face Detection and Shadow Adjustment.
The Onscreen Autofocus allows a seamless point-and-shoot display of the subject in focus on the LCD upon pressing of the shutter, even if only half-way. The Face Detection Technology allows the camera to focus on a maximum of eight people’s faces and optimizes exposure to produce sharp and brilliant pictures. The Shadow Adjustment Technology compensates for an extreme contrast when shadow areas are underexposed and lack visible detail.
This particular technology for the Olympus digital SLR functions automatically when using Face Detection Mode, Live View and in Scene Selection Modes. Add to this a supersonic proven Dust Reduction System which produces spot-free photos. This is made possible by the system’s patented ultrasonic technology which vibrates to remove dust and other particles from the front of the image sensor which is then subsequently captured on a special adhesive membrane every time the camera is turned on.
Other features of the Olympus digital SLR include the digital image stabilization, 2.7” hyper crystal LCD screen, and 10 mega pixel live MOS image sensor, a wireless flash and perfect shot preview. A lot has been taken into this camera. It is almost unbelievable that it is only 5.1” X 3.6” X 2.1” (excluding protrusions) in dimension.
