With an estimated selling price of $749.95, Nikon introduced its latest addition to the Nikon digital SLR camera line – Nikon D60. The 10.2 mega pixel includes an AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR (Vibration Reduction) Image Stabilisation Lens, a fast start-up and split-second shutter speed, the ability to shoot continuously 3 frames per second, an active dust reduction system with airflow control, easy operation with intuitive controls, EXPEED image processing concept, 8 digital-vari program automatic shooting modes and so much more.
The Nikkor lenses enable the user to take images of breathtaking sharpness and faithful color. The lenses, together with Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization, allow a fast and accurate auto-focus and sharper, blur-free images, even when the subject is moving. The fast start-up and split second shutter speed enable one to capture images of moving-at-a-light-of-speed subjects. The Active Dust Reduction System automatically reduces the amount of dust that reaches the sensors so as not to compromise the quality of the image produced.
The EXPEED image processing concept of the Nikon digital SLR comprehensively optimizes the resulting images, shot after shot. The 8 digital-vari program modes includes: Auto, Auto Flash-OFF, Portrait, Child, Landscape, Sports, Close-Up and Night Portrait, each adjusting the appropriate settings in consideration of the respective circumstances for the optimal shooting experience.
